Application sent and AOR received Dec 15 2020 and waiting for the status update?

My status is showing "In Progress".

Here is the timeline -

1. App Sent: September 01, 2020
2. App Delivered: September 20, 2020
3. App Files : December 15, 2020
4. AOR Received: December 15, 2020
5. BG Verification completed: March 15, 2021.
6. Language skills : In progress
7. Physical presence: In progress
8. Prohibitions : In progress
9. Location : Milton, Ontario
10. App type: Family (2).

Is there any way to contact them and ask for status?


I have observed people who received AOR later than December 2020, are also completing the Test and Ceremony soon.

Not sure if it helped fast-track my application but I asked for GCMS notes on August 29 and 2 weeks later I have received an invite to take the test and last week, a request to submit via email scans of my passport pages.

I have sent my passport pages with translations as of 9/21. I thought you would want to add to the comments.

By the way I just realized on 27th that I have sent my translations without changing the e-mail subject. I have re-sent on 27th with the correct subject line. Hope it went thru.

after a day, I got the response below

Hi All

My application has been in process since the 22nd of April. No updates since ! BG is still in progress?!!

I called IRCC back in June and they said your application is processed normally and they asked me if I got fingerprint request yet! So i said no? I dont know how they knew that 3 months ago!

Till now I didnt get any finger print request nor test invite? is that normal ? I called again a month ago and they answered saying my application is processed normally and that i should anticipate a finger request as it show on their side? !!!!

Is this normal ? should i ordere GCMS notes?

Anybody plz ?

No. The ATIP request is handled by a separate department and will not influence your application timeline.
