Everyone who received a survey has an AOR of Dec 2019 and applied under FSW-O? I did not receive a survey. In the past I did, but never took it. Does that negatively impact my application by any chance? @legalfalcon

It won't, I guess the whole point of the survey was to understand, if people still wish to come to Canada, how bad was Pandemic .. so far and how IRCC's policies during pandemic made you feel.
I believe there are good intentions behind it, yet hard to see any good coming out of it, mostly seems they are going to use results to plan next steps for us, who knows when and what :)

Everyones talking about different reasons regarding why Canada has stopped processing the FSW applications. I think it's crystal clear. The answer is the unemployment rates. I don't understand why people can't see this. The reason why FSW exists in the first place is to satisfy the need of workforce. At the moment their unemployment rates are crazy high. Until that goes down to previous numbers there is absolutely no reason why Canada should accept FSW applicants. It would only increase the unemployment. Before C19 it was at 2.9% and now it is at 7.5%. Looking at the charts, the trajectory seems to be mid 2022.

Hello @legalfalcon, 12 days before my file got updated after a long time, with remedical required status, I got to know after a call with IRCC. But it is still not updated on my profile, how long it takes does anyone have any idea? and If I can do the remed on my own before the file updates?
We are trying to conceive and I want to do remed on my own so that my file will not be stuck anymore for a year again if that happens. Any suggestions?
Will this affect my processing time again as everything is pass for us?

You might have a point there, but I think you are looking at this metric without taking into consideration the context. The unemployment rate has increased mostly because people who are employed in spheres such as tourism, entertainment, and food lost their jobs. However, skilled occupations? like engineers, managers, IT specialists? have maintained a somewhat similar level or even saw an increase in demand. So in my opinion, this is not the reason why FSW programs are on hold.

Some industries started to make more money like online retail, yes, however, unemployment has increased in every single industry my friend.

but they haven't separated skilled workers based on occupation, all got the same points. Big mistake on their end, the point system is itself crap, all degrees/masters regardless of the college tier OR major field has same points. similarly points are given based on plain work experience, excecutive in top corporate and any other worker alike. So for issuing PPRs unemployment rate can be considered as they cannot separate applications based on occupation.

It can take 1-2 weeks. But if you are sure that you have been asked to do remeds, you can also do them on your own and send the upfront sheet.

Bonjour chers membres,
