Hello there,

My husband has applied for PR under provincial nomination from Alberta and I am included as a dependent (spouse) in his application and I am living with him as a visitor since then. He has applied under NOC C level job. Application was received by CIC on December 05, 2018. AOR was sent to us on February 26, 2019. We received Medical Requests for both of us on July 18, 2019. CIC updated on our account that you have passed the Medical on August 02, 2019. After that we received Invitation to pr-arrival services letter on August 30th, 2019.

Now, we called CIC customer service a month ago so around October 01st, 2019 to know the status of our application and the agent said all the steps are done i.e. Medical, Background check (criminality and security) and Eligibility. They said everything is complete and your file is in good standing and no more steps are pending to process in your application.

My concern is:
a) if everything is done why we have not got the PPR yet?
b) why our online account is not showing that Eligibility and background check is completed?

It simply says that 'We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements' and 'We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information'. No additional documents are requested, no interview is requested.

Does anyone have any insight into why this is happening or any idea what might be going on or how long should we expect to get the PPR?
Pending final review probably. Applications assigned to different officers, some are simply Slow while others process quicker.
For your application, I believe, it's just a matter of final review. Soonest officer picks it up for final review, PPR triggers the same day, usually!

Spouse medical still in limbo!
AR Dec 2018/ Added spouse in Sep/On Sep 19, spouse medical was requested in an ADR letter along with a bunch of other docs. Bil for spouse requested on Oct 17.
As no separate letter was issued for spouse MR, (just in ADR letter,)spouse went for Upfront. on Oct 21st, the clinic submitted the medical via e.medical and since then it has not been attached to my file BUT to a Temp UCI, as IRCC agent told me on my 3rd call.

Had 3 correspondence with IRCC via webform inquires in the last 3 weeks (as they take 7calender days to reply back), but all in futile. inquiries replies were general without confirming that spouse medical has been received even though, I attached an e.medical sheet with each inquiry made.

1st inquiry replied very generally, 2nd said they would need more info to get into my account, which is weird. 3rd inquiry again said the responsible office has received your medical, (which I bet they confused it with my medical which was passed already and now back in review since my spouse was added to file and her medical was not completed yet), however, as of today medical still not attached to my file.

In 3rd inquiry, I clearly mentioned that my spouse medical is attached to an XXXXX temporary UCI instead of her own, which was allotted to her when she was added as dependent in my application. Besides this, I made several calls to IRCC and first they could not find the medical and when they found it, it was attached to a Temp UCI, they said they will request the office to take action and link it to your profile.

All in all, since Oct 21st, the day medical was transmitted to IRCC, its in limbo and I gave up! All I can do I guess now is just wait and watch...

suggestions?

Hey!
Yes, I hope the officer picks up our file ASAP for the final review so we get the PPR within this year. I am not sure though when the holidays start for the immigration department. Some people say they stop working from December 15 for Christmas holidays and some say their holidays start from around December 20th?
