Congrats! Someone else I know in another group, received AOR Feb 6th 2019, and got “Decision Made” in his Principal Applicant ECAS account on March 18th 2019. He’s UK Outland at Mississauga Visa office. So there’s definitely some fast applications going through at the moment! Fingers crossed for the rest of us.

Am I right in thinking, UK applicants, as they’re from a visa free country, they don’t get a passport request?
You still get PPR, but you don't actually have to send your passport off:

Thanks for that. However I can’t read the image. Low resolution. Have you got a link to what you had screenshotted?
If you’re on a PC then open the link, then click the image it’ll open up larger.

Yey! After 2 weeks of waiting for my medical results. today, my Gckey says “You passed the medical exam.”
We've been waiting two weeks as well. Hoping they do it by batches and we get them today. Not that I'm in a rush I just want to make sure they got it lol.

Hi Everyone,

On our GCKey, we were asked for additional documents - one was issuing a US state police check. His FBI check came back clear, and he has had no arrests or charges in the US or Canada so it's a little bit strange as to why they asked for it. I have a few questions:

On the document it says "Police Certificate: Please provide state level Police certificates for New Mexico and any state that you have resided in for 6 months or more."

1. My husband moved from Washington to New Mexico at the age of 12 in 2008, which was 11 years ago. He is currently 22, almost 23. Do we need to get a police check from Washington as well?

2. My husband has been in Canada with visitor status since December 2017. Even though it says "any state that you have resided in for 6 months or more" could this also be applied to an RCMP check as well or would they have clearly stated it? Technically, he is here as a visitor and is not living or working here.

We will be calling the IRCC customer service line tomorrow but I just wanted to ask these questions here beforehand.

Thanks in advance for your help!
Yes, for any place that the applicant stayed over 6 months, a police certificate is needed. In his case, he needs state police certificate from both Washington and New Mexico. He also needs certificate from RCMP.

I’d assume so yeah. I’m surprised it’s going to NDVO, most people have been transferred to CPC-M.

My wife have 2 PCC , from her home country and from the country she was working . May that hold up on Criminal check may be .

Agreed -- I would assume it's going directly to NDVO. I don't have a great sense of how they're sorting the Indian applicants, but it does seem like a certain small number are not going to Mississauga at all but are instead going straight to NDVO (I'm guessing this is the same situation for @vinothku?). Perhaps this really is simply a matter of taking workload off of VOs -- they still do send some there, but it's just 1 out of every 5 (or whatever). I would hope that this means NDVO becomes faster too and therefore you guys make up some of the delay later. I can imagine it must be frustrating to see so many people flying through CPC-M while you're still waiting for that dang transfer!

Hey all

As you know from my signature, I have an Outland Spousal application going on. I paid $1,675 in total including Bio-metrics while applying. Now, I just noticed I have a refund in my credit card for $550 saying,

“CITIZENSHIP & IMM ON-L

Business Return”

I am so panicked now

Why would they refund!!! I didn’t get any communication. Any idea anyone?

Who's on the application? The cost for sponsoring your spouse would be:
  • Sponsor your spouse or partner - $1,040.00
  • Biometrics - Per person $85.00
Total cost: $1,125.

You've overpaid by $550, so I'm going to assume you've accidentally added a 1 into the Sponsor your spouse or partner (without right of permanent residence fee) box when paying, hence the refund.

Check your receipt too, you'll probably see the line I mentioned above.
Josh,
you are right. I paid RPRF for $550. But they said it is recommended to pay. Will I have to pay it at a later date? Or $1,125 is the total fees for Outland Spouse Application?

When you pay your fees online, there are multiple options:

It looks like you've put 1 in the quantity fields for both of them. However, the top one includes your RPRF, so you'll have already covered it with that selection.

CIC have picked this mistake up and now refunded the $550, it's easy to make but at least you've got a nice $500 back.

Sounds like all good. Lets see.
Application is now sent to Singapore (on the same day when they issued this refund). The typo I made about the Place of Birth is fixed now too. They sent a new Bio-Metric request letter. But no Medical request yet.
Kept my fingers crossed!
You have been truly a great resource. I thank you again a lot.
Take care.
