What does In Process really mean?
1) Nova Scotia office started looking into the application or
2) Application received and processing started by local office near to our residential address

Thanks!

Hello everyone,

I came to Canada on spousal sponsorship in Nov 2015 and my citizenship time completed last month. I have few questions regarding citizenship application.
When I applied for my immigration I was working for company A. Later, I got another job at company B. Since there was no obligation to inform CIC about job switching I never mentioned it to cic.
Now I am wondering if I mention my 2nd job in Q:10 of citizenship application would it raise any suspicion? Please guide me in this matter.
Best Regards,

Hi,
don't worry, just mention your second job.

I was reading through the different status at CIC and In process means application is sent to local processing office to process. don't you think it will be more efficient if CIC allows us to send th application directly to the local office instead of Sydney? after all they again have to send it to the local office for processing (which will be costing them some money for employees and postage + processing time)? Trying to think what can be the reason for sending it to a centralized office. Local offices can still manage the load?

Yeah eh, looks like you and I are experiencing similar timelines. I'm also located in Ottawa, app delivered on December 7th, AOR on February 14th, waiting on IP.
Right. Hopefully someone already dealing with our cases, and lets also hope that they just forgot to click 'In process" button :). eventually we will hear back.
