But Flx, wouldn't the MP say wait for the allotted time (i.e. 17 months) before contacting them for an answer/escalation regardless of what your GCM says?

no. the alotted time is a joke and i don't agree with it. i've already spoken to my MP several times about how problematic these long wait times are for all of us, and he finally agreed to help by updating me on the status of my file (though he will not intervene until 17+ months). in sha allah once i get DM, i'm going to continue talks with both my MP & McCallum and will petition for spousal TRVs as an immediate temporary solution. i'll need support from you guys for that, but more on that later.

it breaks my heart to see 2012-2013 applicants STILL in process. enough is enough.

Guysssss i got a call from Ankara visa office i am the sponsor and i am sponsoring my husband from Turkey.they asked me a few questions "where we met,how we met, when was the last time i saw my husbandc and when i plan to see him next." i got very nervous on the ihope i didny say anything wrong.....should i be expecting a decision made soon? I am so nervous..

Golding, it looks like you will be getting a passport request soon. That is great news!

My visa office is also Ankara. It looks like AVO started to process applications faster. When did you see the 'We started processing your application...' line on the PA side on ecas? Mine was on March 9th and I am wondering how long I should wait before I hear anything new.

I am applying for Quebec as well an asked exactly the same question in this forum ;D

The other forum members told me that midi would send a copy of your CSQ to your visa office but that this transfer sometimes takes long. So they recommended me to go forward and send a copy to the visa office as well. You can read the whole conversation if you follow this path:

I was just about to ask the same question as I am applying from within Quebec as well
