Since there are only a handful of people still waiting for SA I have changed how the spreadsheet is sorted. Instead of it being sorted by the date the application was submitted it is now sorted by 2nd stage processing visa office and then original date application was received for the people being processed at that visa office.

I figure this way it will be easier for us to compare our timelines against other people being processed at the same 2nd stage visa office with the same wait times rather than comparing ourselves to someone with a shorter second stage processing time.

I hope everyone who hasn't received SA yet receives it today or this up coming week! Good luck and fast processing to all!

I have a feeling that those listed as not having received AOR may have just forgot about us on this site and not updated us with their information.

Either way I hope everyone still waiting on first stage approval whether AOR or SA gets it very soon. They should definitely be placing calls to CIC to see what the hold up is if they haven't already.

Yes you're probably right. They may have already received aor.

It is interesting tracking everyones progress and I always get excited when someone receives good news from cic :)

Thank you so much! ;D

So just to clarify, if you are from a visa exempt country, they normally don't request you to send your passport into their office?

Correct. They may ask you to send a photocopy of your passport if the copy of your passport you submitted was close to expiring around the time the plan to make their decision because they do not want to issue a COPR to a passport that is about to expire before the expiry of the COPR. But generally they will not request your actual passport if you are from a visa exempt country.

Good to know! Thank you for the reply RYIT! :)

It now says Decision Made under the sponsorship catagory online. Will I get a follow up email eventually about what the decision is?

You should receive an e-mail or a letter mailed to you about their decision.

I didn't received neighter AOR nor SA, I've received only a letter from CIC on February 18th, requesting a new IMM008 and my applicaton wasn't processed, I've sent the documents in the next week, since them I don't have any news, I called to CIC twice, each time they give a different information, I will call again in this week. I really don't know what are happend, Does anybody know if it happened with somebody else?

Great idea! I had somehow overlooked the fact that our VO is Ottawa instead of Sydney (my husband is from NZ). I have updated it in the spreadsheet. I read the SA email so quickly that I just assumed the Ottawa address was for address changes etc. and that I would be informed when the application was transferred to Sydney :D

Does anybody have any idea how long it is taking for Ottawa to process applications?

Thanks!
