generally ECAS doesn't start working until AFTER SA, not AOR. for most, it's only a couple of days, for others it's weeks, months and never.

Hello Everyone!

Just received our SA today! Received our AOR on February 28th for anyone looking for a timeline!

Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Hi , for my case, it took 2 days after receiving the email of AOR , I can see the status thru ECAS checker (apps of my Samsung phone) or thru the website. e.g ( AOR on Mar 2 , I can see it on Mar 4 thru website ). by the way, I got the SA today and is surprised to me that CIC is very fast and only 3 days to complete the SA process approval. I saw the ECAS checker, they didn't update it. I believe that thet will update sooner or later. 1 or 2 day can see. Now to wait for VO for AOR2 and passport request. wait again ...

Hi Ian,

Is this the link to check the Status?

https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=

Also, I am the person being sponsored.
Do I use my info or the Sponsor's info (Lastname, Birthday, Place of birth) when checking status?

Thanks

Hi, yes.. this is the website to check for computer. you need to use the UCI number as well as sponsor's surname and birthday and birth place. need to wait 1 or 2 days to let CIC to update this information so you can see (after AOR email ). an alternative way to use smart phone (apps - ECAS checker ) to get it anyway from phone. download the apps and input the same information to get the status thru smart phone. hope this can help you.

Thanks Ian,

I was actually able to Log in using the Sponsors info and the UCI #
Im just a little confused because my aunt said what I saw was her Citizenship application status and not the Sponsorship status.
She said I should use the Application Number but that doesnt pull up anything as of the moment.

Are you pinoy? :D

Processing times have been updated!

It now says 82 days (instead of the previous 84 days), working on applications received on December 11th. All the people who applied from the middle to the end of December should definitely be hearing something over the next week or so.

Hi, binibini. Not Pinoy..actually there are 2 parts to check your status in the website .one for the sponsor part, one is the sponsored person. once the information sent to VO, then you can click your sponsored link to see your status ( use your application number and your name ( sponsored person and etc to log in.. to see your status from Manila Office ).

Saradan the next step is your file will get transferred to Beirut. You will then wait for AOR2, they may possibly ask for additional documents (hopefully not), then request your passport and then issue visa!

The current processing time for Beirut is 18 months....
