Relieved doesn't even come close haha. I started dancing in my bed when I read that. Just happy the stress is gone for now. Just to go back to waiting patiently and take it as it comes.

I'd like to wish everyone good luck. My partner and I are bowing out- one less applicant for Ottawa to process, so you just moved up in line! Apparently they made a decision on his sponsorship on Feb. 7th, though we don't know what that decision is yet. ??? We made ours this week. An amazing job opportunity came up for both of us in SE Asia, and it looks like it's going to work out. We've been out of the employment loop in N America as we have lived abroad the past 9 years... reintegration has been rough and this immigration issue makes it that much harder. Keep up the hope, eh? Good vibes to all of you- and smooth transitions! Go Jo Go... is going... :-*

Hi all!
I received an email today from the embassy, asking me to resubmit a corrected form. I accidentally entered the wrong year in one of the lines in the personal history section. I sent them the scanned signed version by email and the original by FedEx.

Should I take this as good news that they have started working on my case? Or does the fact that I had to submit a corrected form mean that I'm going to the bottom of the pile?

Does this qualify as an AOR from the embassy?

Also, when does ECAS update to In Progress? Only when they are happy with all the paperwork?

Hi Achirwa,

it's always a good thing when you have communication from the VO!! I'm not sure if this means they are working on the file already, or if they are just making sure it's complete for when they start processing.

I don't know if your VO normally sends AORs, but I would definitely take it as one, as now you are certain that they do have your file. I doubt this means you will be going to the bottom, as they would date stamp your file when it was originally received.

I would think that ECAS changes to 'in process' when the VO is actively working on your file.

Good news for all Singapore visa office clients.

Maronvarma Spousal visa case went into In Process in Ecas on Feb 11. His case was shown received on Ecas on Sept 18, 2013 and Bangladesh case. So it is very fast and SVO is speeding up and I think within next one month all the 2013 cases will go into in process.

thanks for sharing and helping us in this post... i have a question, if any of you can help me. my question is: i sent my sponsorship application package on dec 23 and the tracking showed that it was received by dec 31 but i didnt hear anything from cic until Feb 5th, i received an email saying we received your application and i am checking online it is still one note saying that we received your application... i didnt receive the AOR yet.. what does that mean?? is it ok to take that long? also under permanent residence application status they put a note that they received the application and another note saying that the medical results have been received??? should that second note means that they sent my husbands fil to visa office in Paris???

I think the debate is out on who updates the medical part . You should be expecting your sponsorship approval next. When you get that they generally notify you that they have sent your application forward to the VO. You can always call the call centre too or email since technically you are over the 33 day guideline. Some people have done this and had their SA attached in response.

Thank you!! They just recieved my additional package yesterday then at the end of the day I got the Appendix B. I'm in shock but in a good way for sure! Can't believe even with my missing docs I'm still getting PPR less than 3 months from submission. Go Sydney!
