I got my PPR today, 20-10-2014.

can someone tell me what is GCMS notes and why do i have to order them?
Also my ECAS went into 'in process' on aug 11 but i have not received any mail from them yet...should i b worried?

I noticed you have not received an answer yet, so here it is. First of all, GCMS notes is not something you have to order. It is completely optional. Simply put, people order GCMS notes when they want to know if anything is being done with their application (i.e. has security check been initiated? etc). So if you do not need to know and you are happy to simply wait, then don't worry about ordering them.

Perhaps the reason your application went "in process" on Aug 11 and you still have not received passport request is because they are still doing varies checks such as security, medical, etc. Just be patient and wait or order the GCMS notets here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf

Btw, did your ECAS change? I checked mine today and it changed to "In Process". They say: "We started processing your application on Oct. 17, 2014."

I would like to ask if CIC requested you to do medical reassessment since your medical las year has expired last Oct 15.

I would like to ask if CIC requested you to do medical reassessment since your medical las year has expired last Oct 15.

My medical expires on January 24, 2015 so I wasn't asked for a re-med. But my situation is a bit different. I did my medical on Oct. 15, 2013, but I was asked for further tests, 1 week after. I had to do sputum test and another x-ray (they saw a spot on my lungs) which I submitted on January 15, 2014. The CIC Health Branch assessed my additional tests on January 24, so that is why my medical is still valid.

Hi,

No I was not asked to re-do my medicals. And my visa is said to be valid until October 2015!

I am still waiting for my PP to be returned back to me.
