December 2013 delayed application

I had applied for PR under CEC in December 2013 and my application is still under progress.

I have applied for GCMS notes a few times including last month, and it seems that no one is touching my file recently. Eligibility, Criminality, and Medical have passed status since September 2014. All info about Security is obviously wiped out, so I have no idea if it is in progress or not. I have called CIC and they tell me that they are working on it and they don't have any other information for me. I contacted my MP two months ago, I got no reply, I guess they are busy with elections (not expecting much from MP anyways).

Anyone else from 2013 left?

I would appreciate any suggestions what I can do. I have lost hope from my old application. Can I start a new one under Express Entry CEC/FSW while my old application is still in progress? My CRS score is 478.

Hey I am July 2013 applicant they did not touch my file for one year and then I lost my patience and started emailing them called call center... now they just asked my for my spousal interview and after that few days they asked for wedding proofs

dd17dd86, what is your timeline? What does your GCMS notes say?

I called CIC again, they are refusing to tell me the status of my security screening and if they are waiting on it. I'm guessing that is the case because there is nothing else in my GCMS notes indicating any delays. So today I sent a letter to CSIS director to find out. They are supposed to respond with 30 days.

The CIC call center agent told me that I can apply under Express Entry - FSW, not CEC.

That is the last resort: take CIC to court if the application was delayed even more...

cic received my documents of marriage proof this Tuesday on oct 20, 2015. I hope they decide soon because I am kind of giving up

Absolutely nothing on my file, I'm a December 2013 applicant. My file was last looked at in March, according to my MP.

Just to update you guys...

I finally got my PR! I'm glad 25 months of waiting is over. I completed my landing at Toronto Pearson airport when coming back from vacation.

Since my last post, I had contacted my new MP. His office was very helpful and followed up with CIC three times until I got my PPR. I had also contacted the immigration minister through email. His office had replied that they were actively working on it etc. I'm not sure if these contacts helped, or if it was just the timing. But at least I got updates on my application.

I hope you guys get your PRs soon as well (if you have not got it already).

Officially, the MP inquiries don't affect processing, but it wouldn't be the first time that the file got moved to the top of the pile, if only to avoid a 4th inquiry from your MP...

Hi Akil,

I know your wait is killing you and almost destroyed your all plannings, can I ask what is their concern in your application when you order and saw your GCMS notes ? I dont know how much I can be correct but from my opinion you should send the documents what ever their concern is. Mean while try all sources go to MP, send case specific enquiry, send e-mail to CIC ask if there is anything required which can speed up the process.
I dont know the reason why your file is on hold, but you can try all these ways. Hopefully they will look your file and will made some final and good decision on your application.

Still no movement on my file, December 2013 applicant. My MP contacted CIC and they said the reason my application is delayed is because I sent in a request for T4 and Notice of Assessment for 2014 late, this is not true, it was sent within the time frame requested. MP said they have asked about timeline i.e. when should I expect my application to be complete and they said they'll get back to me this week.
