December 2013 CEC Applications........nothing from CIC

Hi Guys,

Do we have anybody still waiting for MR? It's been 9 months past the processing time and nothing from CIC.

BOWP are about to expire in a few months, if I renew them it will be for the 3rd time during my PR application process. What are we to do?

if it is DEC 2013 , it is not a waiting issue , you have check others how to handle it, contact local MP firstly, it is doing backgroud check, you maybe need need help from lawyer.

Thanks for the info. My CAIPS notes do not show anything out of the ordinary. There is a note that says 'officer departed' back in 2014 and then it was reassigned to somebody else. We also updated our marital status in December 2014.

When we followed up with CIC June 2015 they said that our application is in queue and that nothing is required from us at this time and we should just wait to hear from them.

I have contacted my MP to assist. Will update after we hear back from him.

Just wondering if there are others in the same boat out there, maybe January or February 2014 applications still waiting?

Even i am waiting ......
can see my time lines to the left. Application filed in NOV 2013 and heard nothing after AOR in Jan 2014.
Contacted via MP , personally , GCMS . they always say background verification is in process we cannot assure when the application will be finalized.
Even my lawyer is also unable to get a response or the cause for the delay from CIC. For the use of Mandamus the application has to cross 4 yrs

I am November 2013 and also still waiting. I have also contacted MP, but there was nothing special on my file so she told me to wait and she will check on my application again in 2 months which will be in January. So I keep waiting, nothing I can do ...

I just checked my ECAS status and it has changed to 'In Process'. I had last checked it 2 weeks ago and it still showed 'Application Received'. It took them 21 months to update it. I hope that is a good sign that somebody is now working on my file.

I am not sure if that is all we can do , you can keep search this forum , ( maybe there are some other ways for you ) but I believe , if something is really wrong, it will and should can be corrected in someway, just difficult to find the way some time.

You case is really little abnormal , sound like VO transfer task is not smooth . it is totally the CIC internal management mess.

I suggest you write a letter to new minister .

after all , that is the place he should maintain well . this is nothing about EE should faster, CEC delay story .

this is a gap in CIC internal . similar as lost customer's application files. they should responsible for it. they can blame the third institution slow down the security check . etc.

anyway , in my opinion, they are in an corner before they can make any other excuses. depends on if you can try little to catch them or not.

Thanks again yixiaop26. I think I'll wait for the MP to get back to me and depending on the info that he gives me, I'll take further steps from there.

That really sucks, the uncertainty is too much, not to mention the stress and financial burden of renewing work permits. I can't even look for a new job because my work permit it too short.

that's true. i am going to loose my job by the year end as my current BOWP is due to expire. i have already applied for my second bowp but i will not get by that time. My company is not allowing to work on implied status.

This happened to me as well. It changed to in process after 23 months. It has already been month after the change. so not too sure about whats that change in status mean
