So the medical is actually valid for 15 months?

No - the medicals is only valid for 12 months. However, if the VO is finalising your application and ONLY the medicals is a problem ( because it will expire very soon), then it can be extended ( rather than ask the person to do another medical for only a few weeks/months missing). BUT - it's at the discretion of the visa officer, and if anything else is not finalised in the application, then it won't work. Plus the medicals can not be more than 15 months old anyway. And it needs to be a "normal medical" - if there were some medical issues detected during the first medical, then it can not be extended.

My husband is Canadian citizen and he did inland sponsorship for me.We have two Canadian born children. Previously, I have been given removal order. AOR date is 31 Oct 2012.

If some one can answer my question, will cic process my application and allow me AIP status as I was previously given exclusion order.

thanks

Hey blueslide,

I think you would get a faster and more informed answer if you start a new thread and ask the question directly on the main "family sponsorship" part, as this thread is mostly for applicants that have sent their file in December and are waiting for the first stage approval (outland mostly).
Good luck,
Sweden

Received the AOR via email :)

Congrats, that's great to hear! strange - quite a few people received it on the 12th of January, despite being a saturday.... oh well, CIC!
Hopefully next week everybody who got an AOR will get the approval fast - the spreadsheet starts to look colorful! :-)
Good luck all,
Sweden

For the RPRF - you can pay it later. Wait until you have the first stage completed, and you will have a file number etc. Then once your file gets transferred to a local CIC office for second stage, pay the fee, and send the proof to the CIC office. Don't do it before you have a file number ( so likely 6 months for you as you are applying inland), otherwise they won't be able to match it with your file.

For the Open work permit - I'm not too familiar with the Inland process, try and ask in the Inland thread, but by looking at the spreadsheet, pretty much everybody who asked for it got it... or so it seems...
Good luck,
Sweden

Thank you very much Sweden ;) ;) ;)

Cheers!

Hi fromadistance or Sweden,
I sent my info since beginning of December and I looked at the spreadsheet link http://tinyurl.com/cp9afmx but I didn't see my name on it. Can you please add me as well? Thank you.

Hi,

Quick question... I logged into my on-line account status and it has changed from "Application received" to "Decision made" I click that and it says: "We sent you a letter on January 10, 2013 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us."
In Application received it also said medicals received.

I haven't received any emails of sponsorship approval... so I am starting to worry... any ideas anyone??

Congrats! unless there is something "really wrong" with your application (criminal background, or obvious reason why you can not sponsor your partner, or being on welfare), then you have been approved as a sponsor...check the spam folder maybe the email ended up there, or they have sent you a letter by post and it takes a few days to receive it ( are you in Canada?). If you haven't been asked for more proofs, then it's good news - no need to worry!

Now I've seen also from the spreadsheet that you had an AOR earlier - so then it most likely means that you have been approved, if they were missing documents etc you would have received a request.
Congrats - I turned you blue on the spreadsheet!

Sorry for that, now you're in! good luck on your process. I have added a note after your name to say that you're inland as not everybody is familiar with Vegreville, so that the difference in processing time for stage 1 is clear to everybody.
Good luck on your application,

Ok thanks :) that is good to hear... I can't think why anything would be wrong - Yes I am in Canada. Maybe i'll receive something in the mail this week. I did check my email and didn't see anything even in junk so I started to worry, but I feel better after reading this ;).

Spreadsheet looks great. Fingers crossed for everyone this week. I've started checking our status online. I knew I would succumb. I assume it only becomes trackable from AOR date onwards? I'm just using receipt number and sponsor's details at the moment. Just a bit antsy what with the parcel losing its label, ending up in the wrong country, being opened and then being delivered a different weight to what I know it was.

It's interesting Sweden,
My father also received his AOR and UCID as well on Saturday Jan12. His application date was sometime in 2009 or 2008 in the parents caregory.
