I think it is uncontrollable for us all! Especially in the beginning stage when from what I gather from other posters, E-case actually changes!! :P

Lol! It's such a stupid service, especially because it's not reliable

I know right?! Yet here we are....checking it over and over. Bahahaha! I do enjoy looking at that "Decision Made" though.... 8) :P

I find I am uber addicted to this forum too. Not only did it help with the forms, I also found hints and tips I NEVER would have thought of. Ok, maybe I would have....about 6 months AFTER I mailed the application, lol.

It is reassuring knowing there are other people going through the same or similar situations as well. In general it is a wonderful support system!

Keep Up the GREAT Work Everyone!! ;D ;D :D ;D ;D

I've been approved as a sponsor already. I received an email about the sponsor approval and yesterday i received an email from cic tel aviv that they received my wife's application for permanent residence and gave me the uci and application # but there was no link to e-cas. And they sent another e mail asking for documents to be sent by a due date but they provided no information about what they wanted or the due date. I posted about my situation on page 29.

ecas is here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp?s=1
for your situation - best is to contact them - I would say through the "case specific enquiry" or directly answering to their email, asking them to re-send it with more details.
Good luck,

I forwarded the email back to them asking for more info, I might try calling but I'd have to stay up until 1 or 2 am. Do you think it's possible they sent that e mail by mistake?

they might have sent it by mistake, or sent it too fast without updating it with the correct info - what was needed, and what was the deadline. Give it a day or two, and see if you get an answer. most likely, they will either send you a corrected version of the email, or an answer saying that they have made a mistake and there is nothing needed from you at that stage.
Good luck!

Things are pretty quiet in here lately :(
I am hoping that the last few applicants that haven't rec'd stage one approval hear something very soon!!

I have some good news!!
My son't wife finally was able to get a TRV... they arrived in Canada on January 31st with a 6 month visitor visa :) :)
Hoping Stage 2 gets processed quickly !!

Good luck everyone!!

I received great news today! The visa office in Tel aviv is requesting my wife's passport to finalize her application for permanent residence in canada.
It took only 2 months, Mississauga received my application on dec 14/2012 and now it's all over. I wish everyone luck on a speedy process like I received.
