Waiting for the ITA, 476 points. Can some one explain what are the next steps? I read somewhere that we need to first fill in the forms, send the forms and then we get the checklist to upload the documents.

Pretty accurate. You fill out the forms, submit them and it requests you to upload the docs. Once you do that, you pay the fee(s) and get ready to wait for them to slowly process your file.

Uh, you might want to get started on that. Background checks can take awhile, and sometimes there's a waiting list for medicals...

when you say background checks , do you mean PCC ?

Yes. Background checks/Police Certificates/Police Certifications, etc

LOL..don't waste your time.
In my case I never went back home ever since I set foot in this country, so I applied PCC at Indian embassy through BLS Brampton -got it within 3 weeks.
I had to retake my "Digital photo" because I suspected that the original one I took wasn't upto the specs and I was right.
I had completed my IELTS and ECA few months ago and it's all good.
Have the degree, diploma and Transcripts scanned and ready..

What other docs take time?

That should be fine. I paid my fees last time with my RBC Visa Debit card. Had no issues.

Don't think so. My friend had to use a TD credit card, as his debit definitely didn't work.

Guess it depends on the bank then. My debit card worked perfectly.
