Dear PMM and Leon and other seniors!
Please give me advise on this issue: I am from Afghanistan and have BA degree with total 16 years full time studying as Afghanistan's eductional systems( 12 year school + 4 year University) my question is how much can I score for 16 year of full time sutdying with BA degree.

Secondly! I have my high school certifciate but it is not certified and the docouments and registrations of this certificate in our high school all have been destryed durting the civil war in our country. but my BA degree is cerified.It is quite clear that no one can admitted to Uniersity without graduation from high school. My concern is whether they will require the high school certified certificate or the BA degree is enogh.

Third, for moderate level of Englihs what band of IELTS is required.

Dear Hamid,

1- If your degree is from recognized institute/college and having 16 years education then you will get 20 points.
2- You must have to provide your high school certificates with degree alongwith an explanation all the situation.
3- For moderate score:
Listening - 5.5 (2 point)
Writing - 5.5 (2 point)
Reading - 5.0 (2 point)
Speaking - 5.5 (2 point)

Besides what 'nimmiboy' perfectly opined, why r u looking at FSW application only?

From Afganistan u can easily apply under the 'refugee cadre' also. Which might be faster for u, albeit when met certain conditions. I suggest visit the UNHCR cell that is colocated with the ISAF Hqtrs at Kabul [u might also check at Bargam]. U could find some useful info there.

Also for second part of your question regarding certificate my opinion is that if you explain your condition regarding certificates Canada will accept that. The whole world knows it is tough situation there.

You can't apply as a refugee "sur place" i.e. in you home country.
