Hi,

I have been working in Ontario since November 2013. I will be eligible to apply for my PR in November 2014.I was going through the process involved in applying my PR and i was not clear on the CEC program. i came to know there is a cap for the number of applicants coming through FSW( around 25000 per year ) . Do they have a limit for the CEC as well ? If so, do they have a limit per category ?Also heard the FSW opens during May. This year , so far 500 odd people have applied out of 25000. Read somewhere else the limit is 8000 and 817 people have applied so far.

Could someone give me the difference please ?

Savio

CEC has over all cap of 8000. No subcaps in CEC for occupation O & A Noc's. Subcaps of 200 for NOC's listed under Occupation B
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/applications-accepted.asp

FSW has over all cap of 25000. Subcaps of 1000 apps.

Thanks. The link says they have a sub cap of 200 for category B. i come under category A. Can someone clarify please ?

It would probably make a lot more sense to post your questions in the Canadian Experience Class section of the forum.

Thanks a lot . My bad. i did not see another section named Canadian Experience Class initially .
