Day care admission process and fees

Hi All,

I am planning to move Calgary next year in Feb on work permit. I will accompany along with my kid who is 2 years old. Would like to know :

• What is the process to apply kid in daycare?
• In which age kids starts going to schools?
• What is the fee of daycare - full day / 5 days a week.
• How easy to get admission in day care?
• Is there any tax benefits of day care fee that parents pay?

Depends on the daycare.

Depends on where you are.

There are tax credits, meaning your can lower the amount of tax owed on any income you earn. As a student, you are unlikely to earn enough to really benefit from this tax credit. The Canadian government won't give you money for your child to go to daycare.
