He all,

Filling out the application forms. We wonder, how specific do we have to be with the dates we met one another's family and friends? I can't remember the day she first my aunt....I know it was in December but I don't know exactly which day. Can I just say the month and the year?

Put as much of the date as you know, so the month and year is fine, or even just the year if it was a long time ago. You can attach a separate sheet of paper and explain that you do not remember the exact date, but have put as much as you remember.

I put only month and date for all family members (including my mother, brother, sister in law) - no date. Of course I sponsored my husband three years after he first met my family members. So I had to guess even on the month...

Thanks everyone...I Put the exact date for things I know for sure...like when we met, but just the month/year for other dates I was unsure of.
