Hi, I have a query.

I have done both my engineering bachelors and MBA. I have worked for 3.5 years as software engineer before my MBA and now post MBA I am working as Business Analyst(1.3 years and I am providing NOC code for Business analyst in application). What should I mention in "Date applicant first became qualified to practice in this occupation"? Should I mention my engineering graduation date or MBA date and will I gain points for my total experience or just business analyst experience in my form??

Similar situation :
Degree certificate : Completion date as Nov-2012
But i started working full time(NOC Job code : 2174) from May-2012 . ( As i had one backlog to be cleared)

What would be my "Date <name> first became qualified to practice in this occupation" May 2012 or Nov 2012 ?
In case of Nov 2012 will it affect my work history section where i have mentioned 6 years exp, which starts on May 2012

What degree did you choose? I am eligible after my bachelors but I do not have ECA for bachelors. Should I give Bachelor or master?

Date first became qualified to practice in this occupation?

I started working in JULY'2006 in my country in the qualified trade NOC of my primary occupation but I didnt requrie any qualification certificate then.
I got my WP in Mar'2019 in Canada and started working in my trade NOC in Jan'2020.
In NOV'2020 I got my Certificate of Qualification for my trade in Canada.
Whilst creating my EE profile I entered JULY 2006 as the answer to this question.
I received EE profile approval for FST & CEC and later I got ITA for CEC.
Now, should I answer JULY'2006 // or // should I answer NOV'2020 ?
Secondly, if I should answer Nov2020, Is it allowed? I mean, can I update this answer when filling the Application.
Will it be misrepresentation?

Hi,

I have one question : I was working as a plumber in my home country since 2006 and I did not require any license there.

I have been working here in Canada under same "Qualified trade" NOC 7251 for over a year and I received my COQ & Red Seal whilst working as a Plumber and before creating EE profile and received eligibility under CEC & FST programme.
When creating the profile, I had entered the date as year 2020 for this question, i.e when I received my COQ, but in the process somehow I updated it to 2006 - the day I started working independently in my home country.

I received ITA for PR under CEC, and the date being reflected therein for this question is 2006.

So, now for my PR application, what should I do :
1. Should I update it again to reflect 2020, when I got my COQ
== OR ==
2. Leave it unaltered as 2006.

If I ammend it to 2020, will it be misrepresentation?

In the Profile & Application, I have already mentioned in the subsequent question that I received COQ in 2020.

As I understand this date is relevant for FST programme.

Please advise.

Thankyou

If the "primary occupation" is:
a qualified trade (four-digit code begins with 632, 633, 72, 73, 82, 92), this is the date they became qualified to practice on their own in Canada. (For example, when they moved from apprentice to being a licensed tradesperson.)
any other job, this is the date they first obtained the minimum education or training stated in the NOC description. (Note: if the NOC only states high school, this is the date they graduated.)
