Dear friend I had interview a month ago, and they approve me , but I had to apply for ARC because i was in canada and I left ;long story,,, then they said I have to renew the medical and that what I did..... i send them 2 emails explain how much my wife depress and she is not eatting any more ( true ) so I was thinking ohhh God what supposed I do , then I keep ISTGFAR all days and night,,,,, I open my email wait for nothing i saw amazing email lol

wow that's so weird! I asked her if the embassy closed and she said no! and she said for sure they'll ask for a new medical test because one's medical condition can drastically change within one year??? did they tell you when they'll provide you with info on your case??

nagz its so confusing. the MP said i could call him back at anytime to check on the file. he checked it for me that same day. he told me certain things i did not mention nor would he have known, so i knew for sure he had full access to my husbands file. he said the embassy would contact my husband about the medical. thats the thing u dont know who to listen to :s ... Just to clarify the embassy IS open , but at some point it was closed due to the problems in syria which is probably why things have now become delayed.

dear nagz, i know what you mean, this whole medical thing just makes it that much more difficult and confusing, i remember the mp told me a few months ago that the only reason they ask you to redo is to make sure you have enough time to enter canada since you can arrive at the border with an expired medical, its becoming that much more common, i guess these days everyone has to do medical twice, i dont get it, atleast the embassy is still operating though

I am trying to keep my self busy but i still read the forum every day
Damascus is still working but very slow as per my lawyer
they just send us an email that they will contact us soon all i have to do is to wait and my medical has expired sometime in april but my lawyer said not to renew it until they ask
i am very upset about the delay that is why i dont post much as before
but i am so happy for everyone who has got their pr
let us hope it stay stable and safe in damascus so our files get to be processed quicker

I just recived an e-mail from my MP, he had asked immigration minister's office for more info about my wife's file. below is his reply.

I just received an update regarding your sponsorship application. They are actually proceeding with the background check and the file is under revision. In Damascus the total processing time for sponsorship now is 13 months. If you don’t hear anything from CIC by February please contact me and it will be my pleasure to follow up your application.

ya libnan is your husband still in canada ? were you able to transfer to sponsorship to inland rather than outland ?
