You r right, when we see that some people are getting there PPR we khnow that they are working at the embassy and our turn is geting closer.
But this Month was very dry and now am quiete sure that some of the officers are on hollidays

no no i know im not complaining about myself, im complaining in general for people who've been waiting for like 8 9 months, i mean like i said seeing other people get ppr is something that makes me happy, i share the good news with them, but no one is getting anything thats what im saying,

Hi all,

I am still anxious to know whats up with my passport in Damascus, Vivi told me that it takes a month to get my passport back but the issue is that my passport has arrived at the Damascus embassy two weeks ago and I think its taking them too long to issue a simple visa (dont they do it in one day if you go directly there). BTW I don't live in Iran so I was able to mail my passport using ARAMEX. Does anyone have an idea of how many weeks it takes for the embassy to issue the visa if you mail it directly to them and not considering the mail time.

I just got married in Lebanon end of January, sent in my papers in May and got reply for granted sponsorship first week of June. I was advised that my file was already sent to Ottawa for processing and just waiting for the next e-mail.....Anyone here got their application sent to Ottawa? ??? ???

Yes, someone else's case was sent to ottawa too a few weeks ago I think, he's username is abdmoh, you can find his name in our table too

That would be niceee to put the time on the older files. That could also mean that they might be thinking of a possible closure in the future due to political reasons. I am just wondering how could a person go to an interview if they process the files in Ottawa, maybe at the counselor in the country...

I've been trying to call the embassy for two weeks now, and it's non-stop busy! I have no idea what is wrong with their phone line, because I even call after hours and the line is still busy. I have no idea why it is taking this long for papers to actually process! I really don't feel like going back to Toronto without my husband!

it's good news if all the new files are sent to ottawa. it means they'll have time to work on our files

My lawyer told me that if applications are sent to Ottawa its good news since processing time is much faster, and that it decreases the time by abt 2 months -it it was to go to Syria. because all documents takes abt 2 months to arrive to Syria and over there it takes them abt 1 month to start looking at the application. So now my husband is in Lebanon and he is running outta patient. Anyone got papers in 4 months that you know of?
