Hi everyone if anyone is intrestend to go to Ottawa
To talk to immigration we just want an answer or transfer our files to other visa office .
Is there anybody that Had not hurt from this . guys it is not fair we deal with this much problem while they live here with their loved and do not care a bit about us .
You know guys I pay every month more then $300 for phone bell beside the money that I am sending for my wifes expenses I can not effort anymore to pay for expense of 2 house my wife there and Myself here . So we donot want money from them we donot ask for benefits we just want to be with our beloved asap .

I use Local phone (check their website) to call abroad and its cheap and they offer a good service.

Or Rebtel it's cheap too. I don't usually call my husband he calls me from there but It's really expensive he has to charge the card on his phone at least 2 times a week. But you are right it's ridiculous we spend so much money in this year of waiting. If other people got their ppr in less than 5 months so could we. It's a proof that it is not impossible.

You buy it and you choose a local number when you sign in for it , then when you ship it to your husband/wife and they plug it to the internet, they call you or you call them when ever you want LOCAL cause it will have a LOCAL PHONE number of canada

Its plugged by USB to the Computer and then you plug the Phone to the magic jack..

Also , you can take it anywhere you want , so if you have internet at work , you plug it in and plug the phone in and then you call ..the only thing is that you can only choose US or Canadien NUMBERS..but that is ok cause when your husband choose for exemple 514 number ..he can call any 514 numbers for free ....even if he is in australia cause its internet line it works like skype

Hi Vivi2, welcome to the group ... It really depends some of us never received an actual e-mail with the file number while other did. When they sent my husband an e-mail requesting additional documents the file number was written in that e-mail. Other than that nothing.. Best of luck to you

get an account on Gmail...google talk has calling to America and Canada for free. That is how I call my family in Canada, remember I am living in Kuwait. You can call their cell or home number and it does not cost a dime. At least this will help with the phone calls.

yeah but you have to consider the fact not every country is like kuwait, the internet connection in iran are ridiculous, there is very limited dsl access and those arent even reliable, so it is pretty difficult when it comes to using the internet for communication in some countries, but its not even the phone that matters, who cares if its free or 3000 a month , the point is we are separated from our loved ones and that hurts more than any phone bill and ive had pretty ugly phone bills lol

welcome vivi2, dont worry about the file number too much, as nagz said, some people get it some dont, i didnt get it either, a couple months after my wife's file arrived in damascus i sent them an email asking a general question and when they replied her file number was there, so yeah , its not too big of a deal

I so agree with you, i am in the EXACT same situation as you my friend, working my butt off trying to support 2 households and not to mention the bills that come and go..... sigh... it really sucks

hahah mamnoon, you are the first one who said anything, maybe baghiye farsi balad naboodan bekhoonan but yeah dont worry too much about the file number, when a little bit of time goes by you can even email them your self and say i just wanted to know my file number, it starts with B followed by 9 number B XXX XXX XXX, Good luck

Ok, thanks agha Sohrab a lot for your help. I was asking about the file number because me and my husband were thinking of submitting the completion of his military service before they ask us for it and saving some time this way! I really don't know how a good idea this would be! But without a file number I don't think sending in any documents would be a good idea!
