My ecas is as follows:

We received _______________ application for permanent residence on July 8, 2011

We started processing _______________ application on October 12, 2012

The Visa office asked for my spouse to re-do her medicals on Oct 12, 2012. Does anyone know how much longer this application would roughly take many people are saying that it is nearly complete any input would greatly be appreciated.

I don't get why the posted that a year later...? This is what mine says

We received your application to sponsor ___________________ on July 27, 2011.

We started processing your application on October 11, 2011.

We sent you a letter on October 12, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

what I don't get is why for him it said we started processing a year later. They usually write that the day you get spousal approval and then write processing again when they have really started working on the file.

You know what hbehmane I don't remember the exact date (I am sure my wife in Amman Jordan remembers) but I am pretty certain that it was at the start of May/2011. I feel confident that my application is not going to take much longer. My wife will file for a divorce lol jk . Please let me know if someone has or is going through a similiar situation. My wife is going to redo her medicals ASAP !!!

well i asked this Q just because i was curios for how long they extended ur wife's medical. they extended my wife's medical only for 3 month. so if she doesn't get her ppr by next month, then she has to redo it again.

I think I was one of the unfortunate ones that had to wait a long time. I hear that some applications are getting processed faster than others, I have been waiting approx 16 months till they started processing (still waiting) how long has your application been in process? My wife's police clearance has also expired do they usually ask for that too ??

My friend who got the ppr email in September was asked to send a new police clearance with the passport. So I think they are asking for a valid police clearance as well.

well im sure for Ankara applicants they never ask about renewing police certificate. if they do it would be only medical.

They started in process since June19, it's been 4 month since processing her file, and next Friday it's going to be exactly 13 month that i filed her application.

i think he is just looking/copied the info from when the file went to 2nd processing if u know what i mean...it was similar for us too..it said processing on feb 7th 2011- and on july 3rd 2012 after a year or so it finally went into 2nd processing... i dont know if u get what im saying or not...im just trying to make sense of it too loolll....

btw nice people i applied for a copy of my file...what i did was i had my hubby sign his paper, scan it back to me and then i filled up the info, would u think that would matter???? and is there different forms that gets you different info, or the 2 forums and the 5% is all we need to do to get a copy of the file??
