Hi every one!
I've registered in this great informative forum just now!
Actually, my medical report expired 1 month ago. I repeated the medical test, and the document is ready to send to Paris! However, as far as I understood, The doctor would write down my File number on the medical document. Normally the file number is issued by the Canadian embassy in Syria. Right now I just have the Client number. I have already contacted the embassy to get my File number! no one picks up the phone. I even sent email 2 weeks ago and ask them to let me know my file number! I received no reply!
At this time , what can I do? is it ok, If I just write down my client number (instead of the file number) on the medical paper and send the document to Paris ! I appreciate in advance for your valuable advice!

Hello dear Applicants
I wanna share a personal experience about how these canadian embassy receptionists are confused and their answers would sometimes change people's lives .

It was 2 years ago that I decided to file for spouse sponsership, I thought the best place to get a legitimate answer would be " of course" Canadian embassy ( tehran) >:( ??? , Ya right!!!!
I asked: what are the documents needed and whow long does it take and what not...
The receptionist replied : " you have to go back to Canada, get a high paying job , pay taxes , mortgage a property , after at least ONE YEAR you could apply for the sponsership????? >:( >:( >:( How screwed her mind is ::).

That is why I now have to deal with a fraudulent agent instead of me applying on my own behalf.

I wish I found this forum and you guys 2 years ago. I would have been "back to the future" by now . oh well . . .
sorry to take so much of your time dear readers

just thought this flash back might be helpful in some ways

all the best

Wow, that was really awful. They probably didn't have enough info about the process of sponsorship. Did you actually go back to Canada? I was just there at the Canadian Embassy in Tehran today. Most of the inquiries were about passport renewal. No wonder they didn't know what their talkin about

Hi laleh_d, anything new from Canadian Embassy in Tehran or not really?

Well, not really. They were just busy with people's inquiries about their passports and documents. I asked one person if they can tell me what is going on in Damascus office but she told me that they wouldn't know. I don't think they're involved in the sponsorship applications that's why they might not have sufficient information.

I think a couple of people mentioned that the embassy would let us know what's happening by the end of this month. Well January is almost gone and we are still left unanswered. I wish there was a way for us to know what's really going on to our applications.

No , I didn't go back at all, instead I talked to an immigration agent who accentuated her work so much by telling me that : she as an immigration agent could sort things somehow that there would be no need for me to go to canada . she fooled me into the agreement.

Dear mehdi , as i told to dear friend in here 2 weeks ago , i had a call from embassy for informing me ....my application already is forwarded to Ankara..

lucky you that know where is yours now!
we dont know where is our application :(
akhe badshanstar az ma ham hast!!!

Thx for the info Faridzad and Full_of_hope
I have a feeling that when they update the website with the quarterly update it will give us more info. I know when Libya closed they had a little star by it and if u clicked on it , it showed where applications were transferred to. Ours should be the same. A month delay and hopefully we r back on track in the next week or 2.

Curiosity got the best of me and I just called the embassey. The lady told me files are ALL files are gone to Beirut and in about 1 week we will get a letter to infirm us. Same info as full_of_hope . it's so hard to be patient :'( atleast I feel like the worst of it is over now things will start to go back to "normal" and our chart will be glowing green SOON ;)

Thanks for the news A+M, Farid, Full of hope ... Hmmm, so all in Beirut ... I wonder if we Iranians need a visa for going to Lebanon?
But you know, so many people have called the embassy and every time it is the same answer that files are being transferred, so I don't think the phone lady mariz bashe or something to say the same thing every time! I don't think she can just make answers up, if it was 1 or 2 times maybe, but now that we've heard the same answer from at least 10 people in contact with the embassy here I don't think she's kidding us! We will find out in the next 10 days what's happening and where exactly our files are, I'm pretty sure.
And I think it's best for my husband to not redo his medicals till he gets the instructions on where to send it ...

what are you sending to paris?
the doctor sends the paper to Paris and gives you the receipt which is the green sheet, you keep that until the embassy asks for medical then you send it to them, as far as the file number, it doesnt matter, client id is just the same, make sure the date of birth is correct though,
