Hey!

I just realized my husbands last name is spelt wrong on the ecas and on the communication I got back from the visa office about the sponsorship approval. Yet when I looked back at our applications we sent it with the correct spelling. Should I email them and tell them about the mistake cause they switched around two letters, and it does not match what his passport says his last name to be.

dont rely on ecas they have contacted me at least 5 times in the last year by email and mail and mine still says in process so it is not up to date it should say by now:

come get your visa we are waiting for you :-[

hiii all hru today nshalla there is good news ,i called the embassy in damascus ,the attendant told me that if i want to send the passport in post it needs only three day to get it back (but if they recieved it wed,thur fri or sat i have to wait till sun to issue my visa cos they work on visa only sun mon tues ) it doesnt need one month ;D and if i want to go to beirut it needs 2 weeks and i can come in personal it needs one day only

thanks, so the interview was normal thing or it was about your relation?

He said it was just normal procedure and they do it for a lot of people. He just said that they wanted to clear up a few things. My husband and I met over the internet and did not meet in person for 5 years so that's what they wanted to know...why we did not meet in person before that. It gave us a chance to explain. If it makes you feel better, there were about 10 other people there having interview as well. I could tell most of them were for the family class because I heard a few mention it and there were a few women there with their children as well. So I think it's actually pretty common to have an interview.

i need to know how does it make sense that they received the PR application on may 13 2011 then they write on e-cas we started processing your application on november 29th 2011 ..and then they send me the e mail that its undergoing further background verifications andd it i not a routine case and might take longer then 13 months ???? Please i am going crazy i havent stopped crying all day and im going insane ...what is wrong with my file so they sent me that ? how come they only started processing on november 29th meaning after 6 and a half months from the received date ??? please anyone someone explain this to me...

Don't trust ecas...mine says this exactly:

File received January 10,th 2011

File in process November 25th 2011

Interview scheduled for November 24th 2011

Clearly it does not make sense! Don't rely on ecas. I'm sure that the email they sent you is a good thing and it just means that they are processing it. Just relax and know that they are working on your file!

lol, I guess they made a mistake when they wrote in process? My friend btw has gotten her AOR in april and its been 8 months since and it still does not say in process, but like everyone is saying ecas is not reliable :/.

back in september it wrote in process for a week as well the it said in process since may 16th then they removed it and now its in process since november 29th this is crazy ...it all doesnt make sense to me.

Hey Mikie, no I went to the embassy today and submitted my passport at 8 a.m and they asked me to come pick it up at 3:30 pm ;p
