had they asked for it before she sent it ??
No but the lawyer advised us to do it before they ask for it. He said they are going to ask for it anyways.

The current processing time is 68 days for spousal sponsorship and at the moment they are processing the application received on July 20, 2011. You can check it yourself on this website. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

Shlonak Ayad?
You should've phoned the CIC call centre, because the CIC Web Site says that Iraqi people have "Priority processing for family members in Iraq or surrounding countries".
Kindly see:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/immigrate/sponsor/index.asp

and read the last ten questions under "Priority processing for family members in Iraq"

Good luck in sha'a ALLAH!

Oyouny Ayad;
Read this question;

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/faq/immigrate/sponsor/iraq-faq06.asp

This will most likely help you when you phone the call centre.

. Do u think that still apply to applications already in Syria?? I really hope so coz it's harder for us. At least other countries can get visiting visa it's next to impossible for Iraqi

Yes, I believe it applies to all Iraqi People in or surrounding Iraq; as the CIC web site says.

Regarding the visitor's visas, Iraqis are probably NOT issued such visas; because once have been issued, they'll never leave Canada, as well as there is NO law allows immigration officers to deport Iraqis.

Sohrab jan my wife did it in Tehran (Police +10) as well but it was during the Ramadan and now they are using a new computerized system (they used to take the fingerprints with stamp but now they scan them). Coolamir had reported the same timeframe few pages ago.

Just spoke to one of my friends. His parents had applied for Canada visitor visa at Tehran. It took them 17 weeks to finally grant them the visa!!!! I remember it used to be 4 weeks!!!!. Honestly 17 weeks for single-entry visitor visa is outrageous. I think the current government is slowing down everything visa, PR.....

in syria too getting a visa visit is impossiblee unfortunetly and we cant travel there either due to official warning ...so i thin iraqi and syrian should be a priority but even the the embassy is taking 4 everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
