I was sooo upset today after watching an advertisement on TV here in Canada.

It was calling for people to adopt homeless dogs and cats. I like animals but what pissed me off is that it is easier to adopt an animal here than to get you wife to Canada.

It hurts!!

I KNOW!!! it does hurt but the life today is not the same as it was 10 years ago so many people abused the system, had fake marriages or fooled the sponsors who then accused the government of not protecting them...and all the time the normal people and genuine will have to suffer....but stay strong!!! all this will be over sooner or later

i'm feeling a bit down today thinking that since i'm sponsoring my husband and he has done military service (although just 3 months) our case will be among the 20% which take more than 13 months!
i try everyday so hard to be positive, but some days i just lose it

Ohh Bilal really happy to find someone with the same situation!!!! we want to send the application this week and we requested for Damascus office although he also lives in Dubai; but i heard many people complaining that even if they requested the embassy of their nationality, their file is still transferred in Abu-Dhabi :-\ because there are very strict specific requirements for the Gulf residents which (probably) only Abu-Dhabi embassy could enforce....so can i ask u: did u do something special, write some letter or something to be transferred to Damascus? is ur wife living in Dubai for long time, will she have her visa cancelled soon? i know how things r in Syria but i'll really b so sad to know that we can wait until 27 months :'( u can PM me if u want, any feedback would help!!!!!! thank you so much and good luck!!

Vivi!!!!! I loved your warning but sad you are feeling down today! I have felt the same the last few days... maybe it is the lack of PPR for January, we all had high hopes for the start of 2012! I'm sure once someone gets PPR, we will all feel better! I think they are just finalizing ALL of them and will issue us all PPR at once lol.... Yeah you're right, we were all expecting more PPR's for january and till 18th of the month, not even one!
Last year it was around my birthday when I was sending off the application package and in the post office i was thinking with myself that this will be my only birthday that i'm alone and next year we'll be together celebrating it! Please damascus, you still have 2 months to make my wish come true! Come on make everyone's wishes here come true! Although you're mean damascus, but we still love u and have faith in u! Yeah you're right, it's normal to feel down sometimes too, but i try everyday so hard to beat this negative feeling, but sometimes it's just too hard!
