Good morning Arezou;) I have been thinking of them too and hoping no news means they got their visa!! I wonder where the Bou's are too? they haven't been on lately... have a great day my friend, I am off to dream of PPR;) ;) ;) ;)
Thanks my friend!
I was also checking the chart and i was wondering if the people from end 2010 have received any news or not. Mostly they are very silent.

Hi dear imatra,

Actually we filed my case 9 months and 10 days ago. I received my file number 8 months back so the whole process has been very normal so far. However, my wife is going back and forth between Iran and Canada during the last 14 months....

One question, r u a passport holder or a pr?
Hi siavashf, I see. Good luck to you and your wife.

To answer your question, I am a citizen/passport holder. Regarding not changing the location of our VO, that's a pity. I really don't want my husband and I travel to Damascus for an interview. I hope they don't ask for interview. But I think it is a long way to go for us and we have to wait and see what happens as the events unfold in Syria.

Ok then forget my last post! U r a passport holder, lol.
A friend of mine has a very similar situation to urs, he applied for his wife in December 2010 and he stayed here with his wife.....they r still waiting for Damascus to do something!! His lawyer told him that since they r living together in Iran their file might get delayed and they may need to provide their visa officer with some documents, proofing they intend to live in Canada.
Oh ok, no problem ... I can leave any time .... like right now for example lol!

I miss home.

Hi sohrab919 ... you seem to have more expertise in this area than most of us, since you work for CIC and are married with somebody in Iran. I have a question for you. I came back to Iran 11 months ago and married 3 months ago and decided to stay with my husband till he gets his papers. Do you think that my staying here in Iran is going to delay our application? Do you have any answer for this one?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Arezou,
We did not recieve anything yet!! we have completed 14 months yesterday. My wife also did her 3rd medical exam since our beloved Damascus officers ignored our multiple enquires about the hard copy we sent of the second medical(we lost our copy so we could not send it via e-mail)
And we are still waiting.....

good luck for all

Dear Imatra,

we had already here another case such as yours from Iran. His nickname was COOLAMIR. They applied in August 2010 and received their visa in November 2011. It took them 15 months. The husband was the sponsor and was living with his wife in Iran. As you remember based on embassy the processing time in 2010 was 9 months!

hi imatra

I'm in Iran and my husband is sponsoring me. and we're far from each other. in a couple of days its gonna be 10 months...being far is so hard and frustrating, and I'm sure thats why u chose to live with ur spouse, But having ur life on hold is hard to,in most of our cases both is happening... anyways I can just advice u from my little experience not to start counting the days this early on,it's gonna get so hard,I've started to expect my case to finish for a while now and it's turning me crazy.
Good luck

Hi WXYZ. I wish you the best of luck. Is it going to be 10 months from the day of your filing an application or 10 months to be away from each other?

Thank you for the word of advice and I totally agree with you that waiting and counting the days are not the best way to deal with this. I try to relax a little bit more. :)

Dear Imatra!

Don't confuse ur self. U have made a very wise decision, if my wife was a passport holder we wouldn't doubt a second to stay with each other. Let's say if u go to Canada ur case will be finalized in 13 months and staying in Iran will delay it for 6 months....so what??!! Enjoy ur life with ur husband and be sure that one way or another he will get his pr at the end.

Hi siavashf,

I believe what you just said makes a lot of sense. It is just my life is back in Canada and I put things on hold, so I can go back with my husband and resume life with my love one. Even though, sometimes I get tempted to go back and make it trips back and forth a few months in between. But the common sense tells me that I should stay where my husband is and just wait and see what happens with the application. But at the same time, I will keep an eye on the development of your applications.
