It`s weird they are asking you for things they already have. The reason they asked us for police report in Gabon is because my husband has been working there for the past 12 years so they wanted two police reports one from Gabon one from Lebanon... Did you already send back the forms ??

I think the reason they are asking for your passport is because they want to know if you are still in Canada.

As Ali said because i am a permanent residence they need proof that i am in Canada and not anywhere else.
