Hey everyone,
Question! Please help :)
Will it be ok if I leave for 3-4 weeks in December and go for a visit? Since I'm a PR and not a citizen I am a bit worried. They should understand that I have not moved and I'm just going for a visit and that since I'm a student I am residing in Canada. I'm worried for getting the RQ when I'm there ...
Can I go? Please! lol! :D

Hi vivi,
I think it's totally ok. Based on my readings in the "Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada/Canadian legal information institute" it seems that immigration officers consider sponsor visits as an important factor in appeal cases. Of course I hope non of us here would need to go that path but it was very useful to read these cases.
I my self visited my wife once so far. So I would say bon voyage and also It won't hurt to scan your passport and boarding passes and e-mail them to the embassy. Good luck

Hi nath,
Hi nath,
My wife's medicals expired in July and she did the second one about one month before the expiry date. Actually, I sent an e-mail to the embassy before she did the second one and asked them if it's ok to do it but they never responded to that question, so we did it any way. One month ago they e-maild us and asked for the second medical and a new police certificate. So I e-mailed them back the DHL tracking record of both the medical results sent by the doctor to Paris "we got the DHL tracking # from the Dr." and the DHL tracking record of the paper that the Dr gave my wife to send to the embassy. I asked for confirmation that they receieved the second medical but never got one. If I were you I would certainly do it now and keep the tracking records indicating they have been recevied by Paris and by embassy. Note: DHL tracking records disappear from DHL website after a few months so once they are recieved it's better to copy them in a work file before they disappear. Good luck

the processing time is 13 months for damascus files from the moment it was received until the visa is issued , for the second file number with is the Permanent residency file that starts with B ...you can e mail immigration or try to call CIC and ask them theyre number is on the web site ...thewebsite doesnt get updated often , so keep checking ur e mail the one u gave them in the papers

good luck ?

good luck everyone , tomorrow is a new day.. hoping for some good news :)
