Yes Damascus is processing the sponsorship applications. Also apparently Damascus is too lazy to update e-cas, because they're so busy working on our files, lol! But yes it is normal to just say "application received" forever!

Hey guys I just spoke to my MP`s office. So she called immigration canada yesterday . they told her that his file is in the last stage they are doing his background check in Gabon, Africa because he used to live there for 12 years so that`s why it is taking longer. They told her once the background check is over they will e-mail us to submit the medical exam depending on the results of the background check. Since I`m in Quebec I had to apply for something called CSQ which is like ``acceptance in QUebec`` I sent it last November and they had sent me the confirmation that everything is fine, she told me today that immigration canada told her my husband is accepted in Quebec since June 6 2011, she told me it's a good thing it means the file is almost complete. just waiting for the results of the background check. She also told me I think your husband is in lebanon now ( I don`t know how she found out, can`t remember If i told her ) so I said yes. She said it`s very important to update his adress because they need it.

Woooohooo !! Thats goooooooood news atleast lhamdilllla !! I say let your husband go and get his medical or did you want to wait to get a 100% for background check.... yallah inshallah kheir i say your husband will be in canada inshallah in less than 1 month if damascus really gets to work inshalllahhh !!!

vivi u can add me aswell on the chart received in mississauga oct. 16,2010 in damascus november 18,2010.. april 18th they asked for military record, june 18th everything was received in the embassy in damascus.. its been 9 months 12days altogether..
