Well, i am a citizen sponsoring my hubby, a year has passed but no news!

I think it is because the File transfer from damas to ankara.

Well, yea i think that can be the reason, i have noticed that the people whom their files were send to Ankara directly are getting their PPR faster.

i dont know what it is but the whole process is so unfair..even if it got to do with the status of citizenship or ppr, or that it got to do with the files transferred from Damascus to Ankara or not the whole system is messed up and is unfair...and there is nothing that we can do about it too...

The guys who their files were transferred directly to Ankara : be prepared to receive your PPR in 6 months.
It is my opinion.

I think you are right. And I hope you are right :D
Based on some of the recent PPRs it's safe to say that Ankara VO has maintained their 6 month processing time for the applications that had been sent to them directly. I'm just hoping the backlog from Damascus doesn't slow them down too much. ::)

My dear forum friends... I m back!
Sorry for the long absence... Actually I stayed in Ankara for a week (we considered it as an obligatory vacation)... And now I am here with updated abt what I saw in Ankara V.O.:
1- On Wednesday there were more than 25 people in embassy. Only one other gentleman in Spouse case who had waited 14-15 months. He lived with his wife who was a Canadian citizen in Iran. The rest were tourists and the majority were skilled worker immigrants. Also there were less than 10 non-Iranian applicants.

2- On Thursday, except all ppl from Wednesday I observed two Spouse Sponsorship cases who were called for interview, both had passed 14 months. One of the had a tough time in her interview(9AM - 2PM she was questioned :o ), the officer asked for more evidences and gave her a 40-day time to submit the docs. But the other guy was O.K. and was said he receives the visa after paying the landing fee.

3- For me, it went smoothly without any question or answer. The receptionists at the embassy are nice and helpful and all Turkish.

4- I had been outta country a couple of times after applying and they did not ask for further security checks after seeing my passport, so no worries in this case too. ;)

Nothing more at the moment. I still do not see any discipline in their process for all categories: they have not even finished the student visas for Fall Semester and many students are losing the admissions. :(
