Don't pay attention about your e-case, it is not accurate or up date for all.

Dear Friends, AS I talked to doctor, he said : " we recommand to wait till receive the email for extend of medical but if you want to do , you can and we will do for you", he put that responsibility on our shoulders. , I do not know what should i DO?

Is this thread also opened to members currently dealing with Ankara VO, but whose file was not previously transferred from Tehran/Damascus? My husband is of Afghan citizenship and is living in Turkey. Sponsorship was approved earlier this summer and his file just got transferred to Ankara. Are you interested in adding our timeline and information to the spreadsheet? If so, I'll be happy to share with you all.

Hi Bahar21, congratulation for you and your wife :).
from what you said they extend your medical and that good news for me , my second medical has expired on last july :( , they did not send me any email to do it for the third time :( , so I hope they asked france to make extend ??? ??? ::)

Thanks honey, I think it's better to wait till they ask for the second medical. Not long has passed
since your medical expiry date, so hopefully they'll extend yours too. :)
BTW I'm a woman. :D

Dear Bahar, Please be informed if it says medical received , it does not mean you do not need to redo that, because in this forum many guys that say medical received but again they asked for redo when wants to issue the visa acc. to my knowledge.

There is no harm in redoing medical if you dont mind the extra charge. If more than 15 months from the date your first medicals was approved, then better to redo it if 1-2 months delay is not ok with you.

For redo the medicals embassy will send you a one page form with all your info on it, and most doctors think it's necessary to have that form. This is not true. you can just do what you did for the first time but write your File number on the green slip. Then email the scanned copy of the page to the embassy just to let them know who have already done your medicals.

As per medical section it takes 3 weeks for them to approve your medicals and update your info on the system. Then it's up to your officer when to send you the PPR.

There is another advantage in redoing the medical. Your visa would be valid longer so gives you more time and flexibility to head to Canada.

Hope this helps.

Medical received means nothing. For my wife ecas never showed Medical received until the second medical was approved.

Officers have some authority to waive some requirements but I believe they dont make decision on the medical extension as it's an important part of the application and out of their expertise. So if he/she thinks you can not land in Canada before 15 months he/she will ask for redoing medicals.

Pls refer to Operational Procedure for medical exams at following link (OP 15, page 13). OPs are what officers have to follow when they process an application:

One months after medicals was received by medical unit ecas was update with "Medical Received" comment.

As far as I know they do not need to wait until after medicals for back check. It can be done any time after initial assessment, but they may do it after medical usually. anyways it depends which one arrives first, so if they have your meds but not your back check then I guess you have to wait.

Hi Ali,

Thanks again, and I have my last question, you told : "As soon as medical was received they send us PPR." , how long exactly did it take? because after second medical they must get background check's result, and you mean, they did it before you sent second medical?

End of July 2012

Sambanica, when did they ask you more document? I mean the date..
