humm... I like that ;) She's from Iran. We submitted after the Damascus CIC was closed though, so we didn't go through the file transfer. I know for temporary visas there's a separate queue for Iranians to preserve the fairness for the people who applied via Damascus. However they don't mention such a queue for permanent resident applications (that's a shame and it's unfair for the people applied earlier).

About the user you're referring to, do you know when their status changed to In-Process?

I hope all of us reunite with our partners soon...

I don't know the details of their case, as they just posted their timeline without the eCAS details. But they got their PR really quickly. They are in Istanbul though, and the applicant is Turkish citizen.
I don't know how Ankara will be handling the transfers and new cases. I just hope they come up with a fair and quick way for everybody!
Best of luck to you and your wife :)

Hi guys,

I sent the embassy a Email to change my address and they emailed me back 2 weeks later asking me:

Thank you for your email. Please note that we still await to receive your complete medical result. Can you please confirm whether or not you have completed all your medical tests after you gave birth? Can you also confirm whether or not you have already applied for Canadian citizenship for your newborn child?

Looking forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Immigration Section / MM

does that mean its towards the end of the application because I always read on the form that when they ask about the medical its usually means its the end

I think so, but what do they mean by complete medical results. It seems like you recently became a mom :-*. Did u need to go through a new medical test after giving birth?

if your file is complete, this period of time depends on your chance,we had a person in this forum after 6months got the visa, but the most should wait more than this,my file changed to in process after 8 months, some are waiting 11-12 months without any good news...it's better not to think about it,because after become to in process you will have another anxiety.

Not yet. I'll go to Ankara next Tuesday. I couldn't find sooner ticket!

Is it possible to go to Canada from Ankara after getting your passport stamped? instead of coming back to Iran?

Mine also changed to "In Process" 10 months after filing (8 months after receiving approval letter). I believe those who applied after January should have shorter wait time.
For some one like me changing to "In Process" was a great news, as I had no idea if my file was transferred to Ankara or not, but for you Niloo joonam, it s alright. You will see it in your eCase in no time! ;)

Hi Elham jan,
It depends on how strong are the other proofs of your relationship. I mean if you know your fiance for a good time, and you can prove it by photos, phone logs, etc then it might be O.K.
If you consult with lawyers, they advise you not to do so. (thats what they told us last year) But personally I believe if you can prove a genuine relationship, it suffices.

Yes, there is no limitation

Acknowledgment of receipt = this is the email they randomly send out to let u know they received your file at cpc Mississauga
I personally didn't receive AOR , just the approval letter

Elham i know a guy in this forum who waited i think around 17 month and had no clue why their process took them soo long, so he went 2 the Ankara VO and after talking 2 the officer, he realized that this unusual waiting time was due 2 the fact that their marriage certificate was not issued by Iranian government inside Iran. in my opinion it would be way safer if u guys give them Iranian marriage certificate so they at least don't have this excuse 2 take the process longer than it suppose 2 be. good luck

It might be possible if the marriage certificate is issued in Iran , however I don't recommend it as well since u can not possibly show an important evidence =marriage photos.
think about it.

see if u could gather evidences like letters, plain tickets , phone call print outs , ...

Even if he could come back for a week for the marriage , that be perfect.

cheers
