The application was received in Damascus around mid march 2011. But we waited for them to ask us to do the medical again... it was about a month ago that they emailed us to do the medical again (and it was done immediately!). But in the online system it's not updated that they got the medical yet... Is there anything else we need to do? Any idea how much longer it will take?

Thanks,
Hossein

Mine received in Damascus on mid April 2011 , they asked me to redo medical , i redid it a month ago & email the green sheet to them.... no update yet .... don't worry

I thought they will mail us a Permanent Resident card and that's it.
Is it mandatory to go to Ankara?

Bahar,
You have to go in person to Ankara to get your passport stamped. You are not a permanent resident
In Canada until you go through the landing process in customs at the airport. They will mail you a PR card to you Canadian address. If you cannot go to Anakara yourself you can fill out a form giving permission for someone else to bring your passport to have it stamped. There is also a business starting up in Iran that other members have mentioned where you can pay this person $150 to take your passport for you.
Good luck:)

Anybody else have their address added back on to ecas this week?? I think I remember reading a few people had their address back on... I'm praying its a positive sign:)

Thanks a lot for the information A+M.
My sister-in-law got her Permanent Resident card mailed to her about two years ago.
I thought mine would be the same.

my wife still still is doing research for the best option:

1) mahan/iran air costs about 600k tomans (flight and hotel package) but the flight schedule does not match. from Terhan: Monday morning, return to Tehran thursday which means she cannot submit passport on monday and cannot pick up on Thursday (has to wait 1 week for the next return flight)

2) option 1 + return from istanbul which involves a ground trip from anakara to istanbul.

3) turkish airline costs about 1250k tomans (flight and hotel package). the schedule is perfect. arrives on sunday and departs on wed every week.

Looks like we have to stick to the third option.

For the people who r going to Ankara. You only need to be there for one day. You will submit your passport 9am and they will tell you to come back at 2pm to pick it up. Don't book your flight for any longer. When I was there I stayed at Rixos hotel it was 5 min away but it was a bit expensive. And taxi fair is very cheap just like Iran.

Hello ,

Regarding the google spreadsheet, my status has been updated few weeks ago, but there are two incorrect information. I have never been asked for residency questionnaire, so please remove 27 Jan 2012. Besides, I am Canadian Citizen rather than PR.

By the way, I have a question, I would appreciate if anyone lets me know about that.
I just noticed changes in my application status saying " We started processing your application on June 5, 2012. Medical results have been received." I am wondering if anyone knows how long approximately the processing may take until PPR?

this is a very good news, you are almost done ! :) you should get your ppr email in probably few days, BE HAPPY ! :)

Thank you and good luck everybody,
NMBMM

Also there is a half an hour ride from airport to the city so don't get a taxi. There are buses leaving the airport every half an hour and yet will take you to central bus station in analysts and then get on a taxi there to your hotel. You will save around 40$ this way

thanks amir, i understand they might return the passport earlier, but that involves some risk. I'm copying and pasting exactly from the ppr email:

"All applicants may submit their passports in-person to the Immigration Section Reception in Ankara, Turkey at the address mentioned above. We will only accept passport submissions on Mondays and Wednesdays between 8:30 and 10:00 am. If you arrive late, you will have to submit your passports on the next available day for passport submission. Passports/visas can only be collected on the next business day at 14.00 a.m. "
