Hi Kat- H,

My brother-in-law had the same situation. He lived in Dubai and my sister sponsor him. They had lived together in Dubai two years and then they came to live in Canada. For the residency in Dubai, there is no problem. I asked my brother-in-law and he told me he dont have any problem with the stamping of the canadian residence on his passport.

Thank you HAB for answering me, but again plz, is it obligatory that he cancels the UAE residence before issuing the canadian residence? Thnk u again:)

No its not my brother-in-law did not cancel his UAE residence and he come here and they dont ask him about UAE residence.
