Guys

Is a CV/ Resume checked during a visa application or does the visa officer just take into account the experience letter from an employer? So if a CV says you work for a few months more than your previous employer says, will this affect your application?

Many thanks

Forgot to add that I worked for my previous employer for four and a half years but the last few months were were on a casual basis (cash in hand) so he will not confirm those last few months employment. However, I have added the casual employment dates to my CV so now there is an inconsistency.

Many thanks

Was this "Extra month's job" legal? If it was not legal then you cannot show proper documentation (Pay stub or tax doc) for that period and rightfully your employer has saved himself by not mentioning those months in your reference letter. There was no requirement to add these additional months' job on your CV. Every document sent to VO will be checked and he will find this discrepancy. Now there is a high probability for an Interview or verification to clear that ambiguity.

Did those additional month's experience contribute towards 4 years of experience? If so, then would you lose points if they were deducted from your yrs of experience?
