Hi!!

Was hoping to get some help. Does anybody know whether a customs warning that I received 5 years ago at an airport thats not in my country nor have I resided in this country will show up on my background check. How deep is the background check

What does a customs warning mean? Did you try to bring in fresh food or a surplus of money into whatever country?

I have no idea how deep the background check runs, but I would disclose this information with a separate sheet where it asks about being refused entry into another country. Explain to them what happened, and what was done. Then you don't have to worry about if they find it and you didn't disclose it. If it's not a concern to them, they won't care if you've added it. It would be cursory information. But if you don't disclose it and they do find it, you could be charged with misrepresentation.

Thank you. Is there anyway of finding out whether being detained for a few hours will show up in an international check seeing that i travel a lot but only stay for 1 night and always leave the next day

again, it's best to assume CIC can and will find out anything regarding international travels. it's always best to tell the truth on your applicaiton. being detained or refused entry in another country doesn't necessarily mean your application will be rejected. LYING about it will. there's really no way anyone here is going to tell you what specifically will come up on a background search that CIC does on you. we are not immigration officers and are not privy to the background check systems they use.
