LANDED..........

Hi there,

My wife and I will fly from the UK to Canada on 10th Jan - she'll be a Canadian citizen returning to reside in Canada and I may or may not be landing as a PR depending on how the processing time goes. My question is on how safe/wise it might be to include my possessions (clothes etc.) in my wife's customs list she'll need to declare as a returning resident. It would be awfully convenient to have my stuff arriving a few days after we arrive in the same consignment as my wife's possessions. If we do this, it implies that when I land as a PR I would have no "goods to follow" declaration to make. Again, is this likely to cause any issue do you think?

thanks.

if she wants to claim all possessions as her own, there is no issue with this.

it is not required to declare goods to follow, so it won't be an issue if you dont' have anything to declare when landing. a lot of people dont have items to declare. CIC isn't going to care.
