Hello everyone,

I am a canadian citizen and would like to sponsor my husband. I´m employed, however currently staying at home with my new-born baby for 2 more years. I don´t know how to correctly answer the questions on the sponsorship evaluation form. I guess I should check the B) employed box? Even though I am at home? And how can I correctly answer question 3) about my net personal income since I don´t have any at the moment? Also what date should I put when asked about from when to when have I been employed? If I am still employed, do I put the date on which I filled out the forms? Sorry, I´m a bit confused.Thanks.

Thanks, yes, I was just wondering where to write this, as there is no real space for that. So I´ll just write "maternity leave" where they ask about my salary.

For any question where the answer that fits into the box is not really accurate, you can always attach a note explaining in detail the circumstances. I think you should do this for your employment situation.

I was also on maternity leave when I applied as sponsor. I put employed, with my current salary and then attached a note to explain that I was on maternity leave...then had to add on to it because my office was closed down whilst I was on leave so I was made redundant too!! Nightmare!
