Current Visa Processing time for a closed work permit holder

Hi,

My closed work permit and Visa were valid upto May 14 2021. I have got the renewed wok permit. However I need to rasie a request for visa stamping, which currently is taking more than expected time to process. I need to travel to India in the last week of May and would wnat to get my visa sramping done before that. Under current situation, can I expect stamping to be completed within 3 months if I apply for stamping now? What are the chances that I can go to India and raise stamping request from there? Have any of you faced such situation before? Any help is appreciated.

Hi Anusha,
There is a lot of delays faced by many of us who have applied for the work permit. Sep 2020 and still waiting. As per the IRCC website India Processing time for work permits is supposed to be 24 weeks, in many countries around 9-12 weeks. Mine has gone past the period twice now and still waiting. If I was you i will apply from within Canada.
