Current Passport sent for renewal...Test fast approaching...Options?

Hi All,

My passport is currently being renewed and not with me. I have a test fast approaching, while I am trying to get back my passport by canceling the renewal, I am wondering if anyone else has gone to the test without the original passport.

I do have a notorized copy of the passport with all pages with me. Would that be sufficient along with the receipt of renewal, etc.

The short answer is yes. Take the notorized copy and the receipt with you. If you have stamps that need translation, have them done before the test.

Thanks. Did you go through the same process? Thankfully I do not have any translations....I am hoping in the worst case, this does not trigger a RQ.

I do not go through this myself. However, I know someone who sent his old passport to get new one without having a notorized copy. His interviewing officer told him that he should have it photocopied before.
