The company I work for is international in that the main business is in USA, but people in UK, DE, and a few others work for another company, but are under this one. They don't have a base in CA currently, but planning to have one by the end of the year.
I am a college graduate with some programming knowledge, but not an investor, never worked in CA, only visited CA, no family there, etc. Family of 4 and want to get application process started ASAP. I made an account with https://www.pnpapplication.gov.bc.ca/ because currently we're looking to move to BC (but open to ON as well).
Question 1: I see my dashboard mention entry level semi-skilled worker, which is what I assume I am. I haven't taken the English test (nearest one is 3 hours away and doesn't meet often). Since my company hasn't branched out to CA yet, is there anything I can do or do I need to wait till that happens to get in?

Question 2: Reliant on previous question, can I apply for permanent residency in ON at the same time as BC or is that a red flag?

Question 3: I saw no info on how to enter my family, do I need to apply separately for them or is it a "once I'm approved, then bring your spouse and kids"? They fit the requirements I've seen, they're both my dependents / biological kids that live with us.

Question 4: If approved, is there a deadline to enter CA? I know for Permanent residency you have to live in the country for 9 out of the 12 months, really we would be living there for 12/12 months, only visiting family probably once or twice in a year for a week tops. Basically, let's say I was approved today, would I have to be ready to leave the United States within 3 months? This is more of a "do I need to apply in such a time that my lease would be up / have an apartment / house ready?

Q3 you apply all together with you as primary applicant and spouse/ kids as accompanying dependants

Answer to Q4. You will be issued with documents referred to as COPRs which should have a validity tied to the validity of your medicals. You must enter Canada by the validity date shown, worst case it could be 3 months but generally more. In any case you could all do a soft landing to activate your PR then return home to tie things up.

No idea where you got 9/12 months from as the actual rule is you must reside in the country for 2 years out of 5 years from initial landing after which the 5 years becomes a rolling 5 years reset on each new entry.

Have you checked how many points you might get ?

Q1. How do you qualify as semi skilled based on definition here for BC PNP And your employer is not a BC employer ?
