CSQ, TOEFL, Passport expiring.....

hello everyone
I am currently studying in Montreal, i will be finishing my degree this summer (2017 summer end, i started my degree in winter 2016).
So im planning to apply for CSQ
I have a few quarries...

1) I had take TOEFL n not IELTS, so can i use that or i need to take IELTS (my TOEFL score expires in 2017 October) to apply for CSQ ?

2) My passport is expiring in March 2018, I will be renewing it in ~April 2017. The CSQ wont be affected by this ryt..? and i can apply for CSQ or should i first renew my passport and then apply for CSQ ? (or do CSQ first and then renew pp) ?

They only accept IELTS, TOEFL is useless for CSQ.

About the passport I would suggest calling and asking MIDI since this forum is pretty useless and people only want to know each other's timelines and the country where the application was made.
