I know the wait at the end is torture. I am sure yours has to be coming so soon--I got eCORP 2 business days after P2. Fingers crossed you get it today or tomorrow!

I wonder why it's taking so long for you? It's been over a month since you got P2. Have you tried contacting IRCC to maybe check if there are any holdups you are unaware of? Just reassurance from an adviser to say "just wait" is often enough.

Ahhh I read this too quickly as Feb 9 and 11. That is strange that it's been over a month!!

I haven't reached out because the "typical" wait time is 60 days for eCOPR -- even tho in the Family Class stream it tends to be shorter. So I plan on reaching out after that 60 day mark has passed, because even for the transition between P1 to P2 took forever for me for some reason. My husband is disabled, which is probably out of the norm and maybe they're not used to seeing that -- and from experience, any time you get "out-of-the-norm-but-otherwise-uncomplicated situations it takes a lil bit of time to sort through things -- so I would understand if that was what created a bit of a delay. But tbh, I feel like at this point in the process (P2 to eCOPR) it's just taking longer now because of internal immigration changes in the transition from 2025 to 2026.

I plan on ordering my GCMS notes after all of this is over with, just t see what the heck is taking so long. I mean, even my PR Tracker still indicates my file hasn't been touched since Jan 12 -- right after I submitted my info in the PR Portal. So... we'll see.

Wow this is taking such a long time. I truly hope everything will be finished soon, the waiting must be endless ! Speaking about your work permit, did you had to renew it ?

I discussed the situation with my place of employment and was told that I can maintain my employment with them as long as I am in Canada with implied status. I don't know if that's the same for every situation or if I just got lucky that my employer was willing/able to do that.

So because I am a US citizen and can remain in Canada for up to 6 months with my passport + my current Canadian employer being willing to keep me employed on implied PR status, my husband and I decided renewing my Open Work Permit wasn't needed.

But since my work permit has expired, my temp SIN is now invalid and I can't file my taxes until I get a new one -- which I can't get a new one until I have the eCOPR.

GOT THE ECOPR TODAY!!!! WOO!!!!!

Thank you everyone for keeping my spirits up until this moment ♡
Excellent news! Congrats finally! It's funny but it seems (well in my experience), it's only when you're mentally at complete despairing point that you suddenly get the good news. lol. Anyway you can breathe a sigh of relief, I know the feeling!!!! You can get on with your life and make plans.
