Hi Bluerobin,

Apart from the application for spouse what other documents did they ask for? Only educational documents? or did they ask for work certificates also?

Thanks

My spouse does not work. So they asked for only educational certificates in addition to the CSQ application form. If your spouse works, then you should send the work certificates as well.

I had not submitted my wife's CSQ application form and educational certificates ( my mistake :'(, I was slightly confused regarding that. Since each application is signed by both the principal applicant and spouse , I thought it was not necessary to send a separate application for her.) Please go through the checklist in the application and make sure you are sending everything that is required.

Hi all

I was wondering, assuming your file is ok, after the initial AOR do you get any other letter before the interview call? It's stated in the AOR that my file is waiting to be considered and that they will get in touch with me as soon as the preliminary examination is done. Would that be the interview call, request for additional documents or just a confirmation?

Thanks in advance for your help!

HI everyone !
I think you all have good knowledge of Quebec immigration. I 've one question regarding on quebec. I've following details
education =12
experience = 8
age =16
language =6+4 i.e DELF A2 and ielts 6 band
spouse char =6
children = 8
financial = 1
total 61

minimum pass marks is 57 I got 61. I dind'nt put points from area of training. computer science is in section c which has 6 points. Do I'll get 6 points from area of training or not. plz suggest me.
and Do children points are count for pass marks or not ? i was told that for calculate the pass marks financial points and childrens points are not count . then my score become 52 which is less than pass marks. in this situation shall I apply or not ?
expect help from seniors .

one of my friends didn't get points from children. Yes he was given the points from children but was n't add in pass marks. He had applied in 2007. In his letter it is clearly coated that points from children are only added after getting minimum points. I'm confuse about this. and How much score do I get from DELF A2 and DELF B1. I expect 4 from DElf A2 and 6 from Delf B1. Is it true ?

Hey Satya

DELF A1 or B1 dont have any points as such alotted... your inteview( which judges your understanding hearing and speaking ) will decide how many points you get..

If my wife already spend her main education (before faculty ) in a french school, should she pass any French exam?

Is it enough that she has French knowledge or I should start learning french as well ?

thanks,
-k

Yes ofcourse...you should go for it... and to be on the safe side...your wife can go for TEF or DELF examination... i m sure it will not be problem for her since she is a french teacher..

and it will be a good if you started learning french and simultaneously apply..

Regards,
Shahi

Thank you for your reply,

one more question please, how could I make my degree (one outside Canada) and (one from Alberta. Canada) equivalent to Quebeq. In the points system, they count points based on degree location.

I'm confused about that.

Thanks,
-k

Yes they do....what is your degree and what was its duration....??

SHahi

Thanks for your reply,

I have a Bechlore Degree From Faculty of Engineering, Computer Science department (5 years duration)
I also have a Master from the same department. It needs minimum 2 years but I finish it in 6 years as I was doing that part time beside my work.

Currently, I'm doing another Master degree in Computer Science in Alberta, Canada. I didn't finish it yet. I expect to defense on DEC 2010.

Please note that I don't know french, my wife was in French school. She only has a Bechlor degree from the same department. Do you think I can apply to Canada office although I didn't spend 1 year in Canada yet and my wife visa is Visitor (But she has Alberta ID).

Thanks a million,
-k

Well you must evaluate your chances by placing your wife as principal applicant...and also try evalation online where you are the principal applicant..see which case has a positive reply...if your wife has been in alberta for more than a year then she can apply to quebec..else will have to apply to the office which covers your country of origin...same goes for u...

Shahi

I got a positive reply for both of us, but I don't think this is logic because a lawyer firm told me I'm not eligible for Quibeq.

Is there any real advantage for Applying from Canada office than Middle east office? Should I postpone my application until I complete one year in Alberta then apply from Canada office?

thanks,
-k
