CRS Score importance

Looks like I don't have that great of a CRS score, only 326.
I think because of my age, 49yrs old, and my wife and I lack of college degree.

But I have been working in Canada for 16 years on a work permit, NOC 0 and A.

So how does that work? I should, it seem, qualify for PR but my CRS score seems low

Also, I see this graphic but what does it mean? Why are some lines highlighted?

Thanks for any help

I've looked into the Provinical, and I'd imagine I would qualify but then you need to settle in BC, would like to be open to move to Toronto possibly

So for BC, you need a job offer to be eligible. Ontario PNP is for specific NOCs, so depends on your NOC. Your score is low for Ontario too.

The link is for the last CEC draw - Canadian experience.

Under CEC, you should have got an invitation till now. There scores were lower in past couple of months.

Also, the province you are living, apply under their PNP programs. Every Province has Inside Skilled Worker Category.

Unfortunately you missed the CEC draw where the score dropped to 75. That probably won't happen again. But you should set up your Express Entry profile just the same in case it does. Your score is far too low for FSW/EE.

Look into the BC PNP programs as well.

Any reason you haven't applied for PR previously?

Thanks Scylla

I score well in the BC PNP
106 when the min is 85 for skilled workers

So that will be the likely path I take................

Yes, that is where I likely will now. As mentioned above, I do score well through BC PNP.
Well above the minimum of 85 for skilled workers.

Thanks for your help.

The ironic thing is I have been able to work/live under work permit for so continuously long because my job is considered "executive"
Yet, that doesn't seem to matter much when it comes to Federal Express Entry.....

The Express Entry program looks at a number of factors when determining points. All skilled work experience is evaluated the same. (FYI - your NOC is only executive if it's 00 skill level. A/0 occupations are not executive.)

Ultimately your biggest issues are your age and lack of education. That's where you're losing all of the points.

Thanks for your help and info. Yes I mispoke but I've been exempt from the 4 year work permit limit.

BC PNP definitely looks like the route I will take, we wanted to slow move it anyways formy stepson to finish University in Bangkok, so the extra timeline isn't an issue for us, so that's good

Thanks again

How old is your stepson? If 21 now, when does he turn 22?

I would be careful with the slow moving bit depending on when he turns 22. The complete application needs to be submitted before he turns 22. If you're going the PNP route, you'll need to wait for the nomination to be approved before you can move forward with submitting the full application which will lock in his age.
