CRS score calculation for PGWP

Hi everyone!

I am currently working in Canada with PGWP and will complete 1-year work experience in September. I want to calculate my CRS points to see where I would be in the pool, and I am confused about whether having a job is considered a "valid job offer". I am staying with the company and I am a full-time salary employee. So what should I answer for the question "Do you have a valid job offer that is supported by LMIA (if needed)?"

The answer to the job offer question is "no". Your employer needs to obtain an approved LMIA in order for you to be able to claim the job offer points.

Yes.

The only way you would qualify for the points without an approved LMIA is if you were on an employer specific closed work permit that is LMIA-exempt (e.g., ICT) and you had worked in Canada for that employer for a full year.

A PGWP is an open work permit. Those on open work permits can only claim the 50 points with an approved LMIA.

Even with the LMIA the score will be a maximum of 524 (for most candidates) which does not seem ultra competitive anymore
