Hi experts,

as the title says, I am sitting on 446 but not eligible for OINP as I only have advanced diploma.
I have been giving English exams for 3 times now (2 times for IELTS, 1 time for CELPIP), in order to get each component above 9.
All three attempts failed with only one of the four components scored on 8, the other three above 9.:(

My PGWP expires in the middle of this May, so I am running out of time as I hope to get invitation latest in March in order to apply for BOWP as well...
I know that the only way to increase my score is getting higher points for language. However after giving three attempts and considering time left for me before my visa expires, it is getting extremely frustrating and exhausting. In the worst case I did not get the best results on my language test, do you all still think the score may go down till 446?

4 points seem so close but is so far...
Is there anyone like me?

No one can guarantee an ITA.
I completely understand how frustrating it is as I myself took IELTS three times since summer because each time I missed clb 9 by half a point in one skill!! So my suggestion is retake it one more time as you are very close to the scores you need. Believe me the scores you want are not difficult to get. I updated my profile with IELTS scores and got ITA in two hours. Hope the same happens to you this time.

Thank you for encouragement!

Can I ask you what component you missed by half a point on IELTS?

Don't give up. You tried your best.

CRS 446 is competitive. In a couple of draws you should get an ITA as per the downward trend.

But we never know..

Why are CIC authorities not making the pool transparent. It can help aspirants to judge their positions.

After every draw they can share the stats.

Different skills! :-\
Summer 2014: Writing 7
Summer 2015: S7 L8.5 R8 W6.5!!!! :'(
November 2015: S7 L7.5!!! :'( R9 W7.5!!!
December 2015: S7.5 L8.5 R9 W7.5

It is not your fault, IELTS isn't a consistent test. Take it again, you will nail it this time. Believe me I was so determined that I was planning to take it as many times as it would take to get CLB 9.

All the best,

What are the exact requirements to qualify for OINP? I thought it anyone with at least 400 Points gets an ITA to OINP.

you need to have at least Bachelors.
Also, only work experience during last 5 years could be claimed for points.

Thank you everyone...
Really hope the next shot will bring me extra points...

If there's anyone scored 9 or above on CELPIP speaking, please share some tips!!!

I am sitting at 444. 1 year work experience in Canada with Bachelors degree in Canada. NOC B skilled. Currently with same bank working. My Celpip scores were 10S 10W 11L 12R. just buy the practice sample exams for celpip. They have sample 10-12 speaking test recording which will help you out. Good luck.
